Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a small, Title I-funded charter school with over 60% poverty. Sixty percent are English language learners (or non-English speaking), and there are high trauma rates.

My students are eager to learn and grow!

I want them to be excited to come to school, to feel welcomed, included, encouraged, and supported.

My Project

I would love to build up my collection of items to teach holidays around the world. The Teachers Pay Teachers card will allow me to purchase a variety of printables and power point slides to help me expose my students to a diverse holiday celebration experience.

Every child deserves a gift of their own.

The small knick-knacks will go to each student in my class. There is a variety of items for them to use and play with. These gifts will be attached to a book that I have already purchased for each child to take home and keep. I want each of my students to feel special this holiday season.
