My Students

I co-teach with the ESL teacher and we are always looking for new and exciting things to use in the classroom to help motivate students. These students give 100% every day and we want to have the right materials for them to use. We do a lot of instruction on the carpet in small and whole groups. This gives students the opportunity to get up and move around so they can stay focused and on task. They work very well with partners and are so creative!

My Project

A new, colorful rug would add a wonderful and comfortable working space for my students. We do a lot of hands-on, group, and partner activities on the carpet and the carpet squares I have now are very old and dirty. This rug would be perfect for our classroom and my students deserve the BEST learning environment that I can possibly give them. Classroom rugs and mats can be very expensive. A good quality rug would easily last many years to come. It would be placed in front of the room where the smart board and whiteboard are located for a different option of seating.
