Help me give my students supplies to improve their classroom and to increase their understanding of chemical bonds with the use of the Happy Atoms Molecular Modeling Set, plus bouncy chair bands.
This is my 9th year teaching at our school, and every year my scholars amaze me with their dedication, insight, humor, and desire to know more! This year's 8th graders are no exception. I love that they come to school with questions about the world around them, and they are ready to work with me and one another to explore the answers.
The science classroom is a place where scholars are safe to ask questions, share ideas, and explore the world around them.
It's through their questions and investigations that they learn about physics, chemistry, genetics, and the environment. In our science classroom the learning doesn't end there. It's important that scholars see how science can be used to enhance their everyday lives.
My Project
My scholars are in need of a variety of items that will assist in differentiated learning in the classroom. Scholars learn best in a variety of ways, and through the use of small groups they are given the flexibility to work at their level and with resources that will help them better understand science concepts.
Happy Atoms, chair bands, clip boards, and iPad covers will allow my scholars to succeed in small groups.
Happy Atoms is a magnetic molecular modeling set that is most effective when using the app and iPads. The iPad covers will allow my scholars to use the app and still have their hands free to build the molecular structures. The addition of clip boards will give my scholars flexibility with seating as they work in small groups around the classroom.
