My Students

This will be the first time being in school for most of my students. My students come from diverse economic backgrounds including a variety of cultures. I wish to create a classroom that feels safe, sanitary, and inviting to all. As I prepare for my students to come to school in such uncertain times, it is important to me that I am able to offer a safe, clean, sanitized classroom to ease the minds of concerned parents. Learning is magical and exciting, and I work hard to create an inspiring, inviting classroom that encourages these curious little learners to ask questions and begin developing needed habits of "listening and doing", safety and proper hygiene for future success both academically and socially.

My students are particularly young and impressionable.

I believe it is prime time to learn and practice good hygiene, as well as cognitive tools to aid in coping in times that may cause distress. I want to offer safety, security, and peace to these little ones as times seem to be ever-changing.

My Project

All of these materials would be so useful and beneficial for all of my students. They will have their very own bins to store their personal books and supplies. This will be helpful in lowering the risk of transferring germs. I am also working on having individual supplies for each student. Through this grant, they may have their own white board erasers they will store in their bins. A large hand sanitizer will be available at all times for quick sanitizing of hands. Bubbles to welcome and bring smiles to help relieve first day jitters. Also, a couple fun, light, interactive books we may enjoy together as a class. The clear shield would be for me to wear so the students may be able to see my face and expressions to help them feel more at ease as we get to know one another during this most unique back to school we've yet to see!
