My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher at a Title I school. It is a low income - high poverty school. My students need lots of structure, encouragement and positive attention. They need to be taught how to become responsible, contributing members of our school community. My children learn best when they are actively engaged and praised.

My goal with this project is to purchase a variety of school supplies, clothing and food to help support my students and their families for the new year.

My Project

Due to Covid a lot of people are really struggling this year and with the holidays just behind us I know it will be very tough for families to be able to afford new toys, food, clothing for their children. I know many students may not have had any Christmas at all. This project is to help give my students and their families food, clothing and educational materials necessary to start off the new year!

In my class we live by the motto "Sharing is Caring" and this project will really put that belief into practice.

It is essential that during these tough times we work together, support each other, and do everything we can to support our children.
