My Pre-K students are very busy 4 and 5 year olds. We have learning centers every day, so that students can learn as they play.
My Pre-K classroom is a blend of general education, special education, and English as a Second Language students.
They come from a wide variety of backgrounds and many come from low-income families. However, we are a high-performing school that is eager to inspire the love of learning at an early age! For many of my students it is their first school experience.
From the first day forward, I aim to create a strong foundation for each student's education and instill a joy of learning, so that they continue on with positive experiences.
My Project
In Pre-K, we read two books aloud per day. It is the best way to build language and literacy skills. The requested books will go with our Fairy Tale theme. Fairy Tales are fun for kids because they can be read again and again and there are a lot of different versions. Students love to hear how each book is the same and different. The Gingerbread Man and Three Pigs STEM kit will be a great addition to learning in the science center. The costumes, necklaces and pop-up castle will go in the Dramatic Play center and help students pretend to live in a castle.
