My Students

My high school students have mild-moderate disabilities. These students have been learning how to work hard within the school and out in our local community. These students have goals to learn how to become valuable contributors to society. They provide volunteer service to the school by cleaning and organizing different parts of our school.

The opportunities for work and service help the students feel confident and happy.

They learn by repetition and with help from teachers and community members. The students are valued and their families feel supported.

These students are special because no matter their struggles they try their best to complete tasks. They also have a genuine love for others.

My Project

My students are learning how to run a thrift store. With more clothing racks we can display more items and also learn how to sort out the different clothing sizes and styles. The store is having more donations so we need to be able to display the items for our shoppers to see. We are finding that our store is helping many needy students within our school.

Students will learn how to organize the store.

Students are also learning how to display items to make the clothing more appealing to the students who shop within our store. The students look forward to working in the store.
