My work and life skills program is set up to teach the students about basic skills that will help them when they graduate. We started a school thrift store where students within the school can shop and or receive help if in need. My students have set up the store and have learned how to do basic operations. The valuable skills of sorting, washing and organizing clothing and other goods for others has been an inspiration. The students love providing sales and other assistance. They have also learned about how important it is to display the items in the store. The store needs more shelving to display the donated items within the room. With more shelving the students will be able to organize the goods and the consumers will be able to find things more easily.
