This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are hard to engage when it comes to math, but, when you given them a handheld whiteboard and some markers instead of their textbook, they’re much more interested! When I tell students they can work out problems with a marker and whiteboard instead of a paper and pencil, they somehow feel they’re not really working. Our classroom has some of the items requested, but, are in desperate need of replacement.

My students and I will be excited for these new materials that we will make good use of.

Our district provided laptops don’t all have working mousepads so the computer mice will be helpful and many of our old classroom calculators are broken and need to be replaced.
