This powerful nonfiction book helped 6th grade students dive into the complex issues of waste, recycling, and consumer responsibility. They were engaged by Donnelly's clear, relatable writing and many expressed surprise at how much they enjoyed reading nonfiction. (It isn't a genre most choose for personal reading in middle school.) \"AHA\" moments were frequent as students realized how their everyday choices contribute to trash production—and more importantly, how they can help reduce it. Your donation gave students the opportunity to grow as critical readers and thinkers while inspiring personal responsibility and real-world awareness. I will continue to use these wonderful books for years to come with 6th graders so your gift will be multiplied year after year.
