My students need new water filters because clean water is essential to good health. The paper shredder is for vocational training, and the printer refill is for materials and the curriculum.
From the exterior, one can tell my students are awesome by their outlook on life. They are quick to smile, show affection, and like all students crave positive interactions with both their community and peers. Anyone that knows my students will say that they do not have a mean bone in their bodies. Some might say that it takes an enormous amount of patience to serve this kind of population, but when you have the students I do and you try and see from their position, the development of purpose and perspective almost automatically take place.
Our purpose is to highlight a student's needs, make a plan to improve the quality of resources given, and implement a guide to lead them towards a brighter tomorrow.
This is only done by getting to know who my students are, learning how to attain the best tools, and finding a way to reach them. With your help, we will be able to reach even further.
My Project
First of all, thank you to all the previous donors for caring so much about this class and my students. This project is solely of a practical nature where my students will receive a paper shredder to engage in a vocational activity that they may enjoy to learn how. This will foster even more learning in the future as a culture is continued where these students are cared for in a meaningful way. The ink-refill is due to the constant printing from a previous project of receiving new curriculum masters and copies were needed. The water filters are the most important item because it will ensure my class has free and clean water for the upcoming school year, which will also promote good health.
