My Project

Help provide my high school students in our new vocational early childhood program with the manipulatives they need to become skilled, confident educators for preschool children. With your support, my students will learn how to effectively use hands-on materials to plan engaging, purposeful activities that promote intentional play and learning for preschoolers. These resources will not only give my high school students the experience of using these tools to prepare lessons but will also provide our youngest learners with exciting, developmentally appropriate materials to explore.

Open ended manipulatives, such as magnetic tiles, offer endless possibilities for constructing structures, encouraging spatial awareness, and enhancing fine motor skills.

Dramatic play materials, like the food stand, will help high school students create engaging and meaningful role-play scenarios that nurture social-emotional development and communication skills in young children. Through these activities, my high school students will not only practice lesson planning and classroom management but also gain a deep understanding of how purposeful, hands-on play can support the development of preschoolers.

Together, we can build a bridge between students and future educators, creating a learning environment that inspires curiosity and growth at every age!
