Because of your funding, my 10th-grade students now have access to technology that makes learning more engaging, visual, and interactive. Geometry can be a challenging subject, but this technology helps students see and manipulate shapes, angles, and transformations in real time rather than just imagining them on paper. Being able to test ideas, receive immediate feedback, and correct mistakes right away has helped students build confidence and deepen their understanding of key concepts. This has helped create a more equitable environment in my classroom, because the iPad has a number of accessibility features that enable my students to gain a deeper understanding of their assignments. \r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is how active learning has become. Instead of passively watching examples, they can explore problems themselves, try multiple approaches, and collaborate with classmates. This has been especially impactful for students who struggle with traditional instruction or who learn best visually—many of them have shown increased participation and persistence when working through difficult problems. Students who were once hesitant to raise their hands are now more willing to experiment and explain their thinking. Your generosity has created a classroom environment where students feel motivated, supported, and excited to learn, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity you have provided them.","fullyFundedDate":1760894187898,"projectUrl":"project/math-literacy/9842510/","projectTitle":"Math Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Artymenko","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10318405"},{"teacherId":10318086,"projectId":9842193,"letterContent":"This project has made a big difference in our classroom. The iPad has given students a new way to practice skills, watch short learning videos, and work independently or in small groups. Many students learn best by seeing and touching, and the iPad allows them to interact with lessons instead of just listening. The organizational cart has also helped keep materials easy to find, which means we spend more time learning and less time searching for supplies. Even the whiteboard erasers and tissues help create a comfortable, ready-to-learn environment for daily practice.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is using the iPad. They love being able to tap, swipe, and get instant feedback on their work, which keeps them motivated and engaged. Some of my quieter students and those who need extra practice have really warmed up to the technology. They feel more confident practicing on the iPad because it allows them to work at their own pace without pressure. Overall, these new resources have helped students stay organized, focused, and excited about learning, and we are very thankful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1760886753974,"projectUrl":"project/create-an-organized-inviting-and-integ/9842193/","projectTitle":"Create an Organized, Inviting, and Integrated Math Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hurst","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10318086"},{"teacherId":10312569,"projectId":9829884,"letterContent":"THANK YOU!\r\nMy DonorsChoose campaign made a meaningful difference in student literacy and overall engagement in my US History classroom. The snacks provided students with the fuel they needed to stay focused, energized, and motivated while reading, writing, and completing assignments. The lava lamp helped transform our room into a calm, welcoming environment where students felt comfortable participating and taking academic risks—an essential foundation for building confidence in their literacy skills.\r\n\r\nThe box of fidget toys offered students an appropriate sensory outlet, reducing distractions and helping them stay grounded during reading and discussion activities. Most importantly, the iPad allowed me to create more dynamic and interactive lessons that strengthened literacy through primary-source analysis, digital annotations, and real-time feedback. It also made my job significantly easier; instead of being tied to my desk checking work or managing passes, I could move freely around the room, support students individually, and keep the class on track. Together, these resources created a more engaging, supportive, and literacy-focused learning environment for every student.","fullyFundedDate":1760656731714,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-focus-and-literacy/9829884/","projectTitle":"Fueling Focus and Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Grajewski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10312569_orig.jpg?crop=1142,1142,x1399,y1242&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760525849540","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10312569"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44574","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":900,"numTeachers":61,"percentFrplEligible":41,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":58,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":51.0,"schoolId":44574,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Howard High School of Technical on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Howard High School of Technical","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/delaware/new-castle-vo-tech-school-district/howard-high-school-of-tech/44574"}
