Hands-on Technology is the Way To Go

Help me give my students an iPad to support engaging technology and helping me meet the diverse needs of my learners. Also giving copy papers and laminating sheets will help with hands-on, visual, and repeated practice.

My Project

As a dedicated first-grade teacher, I strive to create engaging, interactive, and inclusive learning experiences for all of my students. An iPad would be an essential tool in helping me meet the diverse needs of my students.

With an iPad, my ELL students will receive more dynamic lessons through educational apps, interactive read- alouds, and visual demonstrations that bring learning to life.

It would also allow me to differentiate instruction more effectively by providing targeted support for students who need extra help, as well as enrichment opportunities for those who are ready to advance.

I rely heavily on copy paper and laminating sheets because my young students need hands-on, visual, and repeated practice to build foundational skills. My class use copy papers daily to create and reproduce materials that support learning, such as, worksheets and practice pages for reading, writing, and math; centers and activities (cut-and-paste, matching, sorting). My First graders are still developing fine motor skills and basic concepts, so they need lots of repetition, which requires frequent printing. Laminating sheets help me to protect and reuse materials, such as, flashcards, number charts, word walls, my students will be able to reusable activities where they can write with dry-erase markers. Having copy paper makes it possible for me to provide enough practice, while laminating ensures that the materials are long-lasting and engaging for my students.
