This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my job! I have been a Middle School Science and STEM teacher in a small rural school for over 17 years. Many of my students come from a background of low-income poverty. These exciting STEM tools that I use are only available if I am able to get them funded through DonorsChoose. I am given a limited budget each year which is never sufficient to get the information across to students that need it. Using these kits will light a fire under each student to understand the concepts and gain the knowledge needed to pursue an interest in a STEM-related field.

Hands-On STEM Kits are so useful to use to teach middle schoolers when you have the right tools for the job!

Seeing the excitement and the light bulb go off for many students is truly a joy to observe. This is all not possible without your support. Please consider donating to my hardworking and dedicated students as we explore all the joys that science exploration brings.
