Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative, curious learners who thrive when they can learn by doing. Hands-on projects allow them to explore ideas, solve problems, and express themselves in meaningful ways. This project will help us expand our classroom and after-school crafting space into a safe, engaging environment where students can design, build, and create.

With these STEAM and crafting tools, students will be able to safely cut cardboard, explore engineering concepts through building, and work with clay and mixed media using professional-quality materials.

Items like silicone mats, scissors, and cleaning supplies will help us maintain a safe and organized workspace, allowing students to focus on creativity while learning proper tool use and care.

These materials will be used throughout the school year in both classroom activities and our Advanced Crafting after-school program. Students are already excited about the possibilities, from cardboard inventions to clay projects, and this project will give them the opportunity to develop creativity, collaboration, fine motor skills, and confidence through hands-on learning experiences.
