Hands on Speech Therapy

Help me give my students the Wooden Vending Machine and other toys to teach language and flavored tongue depressors to gain accurate tongue placement when teaching articulation skills.

My Project

I love working with preschool students. They enjoy learning to play and coming to speech therapy.

The students will love playing with the Melissa and Doug Wooden Vending Machine.

I will be able to use this toy in a variety of speech and language activities. I will put objects in the vending machine that target their errored sounds and that target unfamiliar vocabulary. I plan to use the doll house to teach play and following directions. The storytelling glove will make teaching nursery rhymes more engaging. I am sure the kids will want to take turns wearing the glove. The ball toy will enable me to work on my young students play skills and will be used during speech evaluations and screenings.
