My students need to run, play, touch and create. There is never a dull moment in kindergarten. We learn through playing and having fun while using our imaginations and our creativity.
My students attend an elementary school in an under-served community.
We have many English Language Learners from various language backgrounds that require specialized English Language instruction each day in addition to their typical classwork. My students do not have consistent or concrete learning opportunities outside of school.
My Project
The materials I have request for this project are all science based. I would like to give my students a well rounded education that includes reading, writing, math, physical education, social studies, visual and performing arts, health education AND science. My students need STEM science materials including plant and animal specimens, magnets, magnifying glass and science photos. My students will use these hands-on materials to explore magnets, buoyancy, motion, plants and animal specimens. They will feel like real scientist making incredible discoveries.
My students will have more opportunities to explore, observe and investigate the wonders of nature.
The materials will give them unlimited explorations and experiments in the classroom setting. They will increase their critical thinking, problem solving and scientific inquiry skills.
