My Project

My students are in remedial reading and I have students that need the critical skill of phonemic awareness in order for them to even approach reading at all. They are learning these skills through curriculums in our class but need more hands-on manipulatives to help them make connections with the sounds and the letter or letter teams that make the sound and how they all work together to build words.

I notice a large increase in student engagement when students have more opportunities to manipulate the letters and sounds physically.

Thus, as students' engagement increases, the likelihood of learning also increases. We need phonics games, writing tablets, books and magnetic wands.

Please help support my students that need fundamental phonics support by helping purchase these materials. Even the smallest amount can help. Thank you so very much!
