This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are excited to experience math in a whole new way but to do so my students need math manipulatives. Manipulatives are things like counters, linking cubes, dice, etc. that can help students visualize the math concepts.

Students will learn how to ask questions and visualize math in a way that we feel will be beneficial for not just testing but for real life!

They will learn to ask questions and discover before just being told what to do. This will help learners retain information and understand the deeper meaning of why they do certain steps, rather than just memorizing a standard algorithm.
