The school supplies will help my students review and study the material. We weren't able to provide them with dry erase markers at the beginning of the year. I love having the students use whiteboards for quick checks and active engagement, but I have been unable to do so this year. The headphones will allow my students to interact with videos related to the material, as well as doing podcast studies. My students have loved putting their reading comprehension skills to use while listening to some of their favorite podcasts. The noise canceling headphones will not only help my easily distracted students to focus, but it will assist the others when they feel it is necessary. I teach my students that they need to take ownership of their learning, and if that means grabbing noise canceling headphones so they can focus, then that's what they need to grab. The funding of this project will allow more of my students to take responsibility for their learning.
