This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class is filled with an amazing group of self-started and motivated kindergarten learners who empower me every day to provide them with a rigorous and excellent academic experience.

Their highly motivated spirits inspire me to provide them with a learning environment that provides them with the resources, academic experiences and research-based instructional strategies that will empower them to continue their learning beyond my classroom walls.

Regardless of their low-socioeconomic backgrounds, diversity in academic experiences and needs, they arrive every day very excited to learn and succeed.

My Project

Facilitating the learning experiences of a whole class of English Language Learners is not an easy task! It takes the right activities, resources, and understanding of each student's learning style to capture their attention and to engage them in a meaningful and effective learning experience that will last a lifetime!

The use of hands-on activities and collaborative experiences in the classroom will provide each student with many opportunities to explore the concepts taught in class while providing many opportunities for social-emotional and use of academic language in a meaningful and effective way.

The manipulatives, including the Color Counters, Unifix Cubes and the Learning Resources Math Marks The Spot Floor Game, will facilitate the interaction and collaboration of students as they discover and learn the magic of number sense and patterns during our math class and during small group instruction.
