Help me give my students a hands-on, engaging math classroom filled with interactive learning tools, strategy games, and everyday essentials that help every child succeed.

My Project

My fifth-grade students are curious, creative, and full of potential. They thrive when they have opportunities to actively explore new concepts, collaborate with their peers, and learn through hands-on experiences. My goal is to create a math classroom where every student feels confident taking risks, asking questions, and discovering that mathematics can be both engaging and enjoyable.

The resources in this project will help bring math to life.

LCD writing tablets, dry-erase boards, clipboards, markers, and fraction manipulatives will allow students to model their thinking, practice problem-solving, and receive immediate feedback while encouraging active participation. Strategy games such as Jenga, Connect 4, Battleship, Guess Who, and LEGO bricks will promote critical thinking, collaboration, perseverance, and mathematical reasoning in exciting and meaningful ways.

A successful classroom also supports the whole child. Classroom essentials such as tissues, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, bandages, deodorant wipes, and stress relief tools will help create a clean, welcoming, and caring environment where students can focus on learning. Birthday bracelets will provide a simple but meaningful way to celebrate each student and strengthen our classroom community.

With these resources, my students will have opportunities to learn, create, collaborate, and grow every day. My hope is that they leave our classroom not only with stronger math skills but also with greater confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love for learning.
