Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Dual Language students whether they are Special Education, English Learners or Spanish Learners learn best when they can actively engage with their lessons. In our classroom, hand-on and interactive activities help students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and make meaningful connections with math concepts.

This project will provide Power Pens and interactive math cards that allow students to practice important math skills through immediate feedback and self-guided learning.

With these tools students can work independently or in small groups while checking their answers instantly. This not only reinforces learning, but also encourages students to take ownership of their progress. These materials will also support experiential learning, where students learning by doing rather than simply listening. By touching, exploring, and testing their answers students gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This helps build critical thinking, independence and persistence.

Your support will help create a classroom environment where students can explore math in a fun, hands-on way. With Power Pens and math cards, my students will not only practice math - they will experience it.
