Hands on Math Materials for Engaging STEM Learners!
My students need hands-on manipulatives like the Elementary Calendar Math Center, Place Value Blocks, and Activity Centers to increase learning and engagement in students with a variety of learning styles.

My Students
My students are an energetic and curious bunch of kiddos! They come to school every day with smiles on their faces, eager to learn, despite some of the tough situations they come from. They are thrilled to learn and grow, every day, no matter what challenges they face in their home lives!
Our classroom is a community where the students can feel included, safe, and successful!
Access to hands-on learning materials is necessary for their success and engagement in their learning. They are so appreciative of the opportunities that they have to grow as a community of learners together in our classroom!
My Project
My curious First Graders will love the opportunity to get hands-on with math during independent math center time using materials such as Write and Wipe Time boards to practice telling time, the Geometry Activity Center will help students learn to partition and create 2-D and 3-D shapes, as well as the Teaching Operations Activity Center which will help these eager learners practice addition and subtraction fluency.
Hands-on math materials have a dynamic impact on student engagement and achievement.
These materials will help foster independent and partner work focused on concepts taught during whole group instruction. While these excited first graders are working together, I will be able to better target math instruction for all learners in small groups at my instruction table. Games and activities such as these help students learn to cooperate, work independently, and stay engaged while still moving their math successes forward.
