This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I focus on increasing my students' length of utterances and improving their articulation and phonology and receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language skills. I provide services in early intervention. I serve students in a variety of classrooms and settings. It would be ideal for me to provide each of the classrooms with materials to help students master the curriculum used not only by me, but by the other teachers and service providers. These materials will be used throughout this school year and more to come.

My preschool students need hands on learning experiences.

When we learn new material, they need to see visuals and benefit from hands-on experience with the material.

All the materials and supplies I am requesting already have a purpose and lesson plan attached to them.

The preschoolers I am working with really enjoy and benefit from hands on art projects to work on following directions, requesting, turn taking, and expanding their sentences. For example, if the classroom curriculum unit is focused on farm animals, I can work on speech and language while they create an animal face/mask/or puppet.
