Hands on Materials for Lifelong Learners

My Students

Each day, when I walk into my classroom, my goal is to provide my students with exciting tools to foster education. My biggest challenge is finding affordable interactive materials to grasp their attention.

I work with an incredible group of students that love to explore the world around them through hands-on sensory-based activities.

I teach a 12:1:2 class of students with disabilities. The students I work with are bright, funny, and love to get messy. Our school community is a cohesive group of professionals that will work together and do everything possible to help our students reach their full potential.

My Project

We expect items such as letter tracing center and alphabet stamps, sensory rings, weighted lap pad and a sensory fidget. Teacher Pay Teachers has wonderful resources to help work on important IEP skills, interactive lessons and learning tasks for students. These materials will be used to grasp our students' attention, sensory need and interest.

Some of these materials include hands-on learning stations that focus on letter sounds, sensory integration and fine motor activities.

I believe they have the capability to empower and support my students in becoming lifelong learners. To my students, these exploratory materials appear to them simply as toys. As they manipulate, play and interact with these toys, they will have fun and learn at the same time. These exciting and interactive materials will improve their learning experiences.

As an elementary special education teacher, it is my mission to help our kids find their passion and interest at their young ages of six and seven years old. I hope to spark their curiosity and inquisitiveness through the use of these materials.
