My Project

I work with special education students and some general education students who are struggling in Kindergarten through 5th grade at a small rural school. After too much time using technology due to Covid restrictions I am looking forward to getting back to a hands on, fun and engaging approach to teaching reading and phonics using Science of Reading based resources and activities. These supplies will allow me to continue helping my students reach their full potential.

The pop its, pompoms and tweezers will engage the students in activities teaching segmenting, phoneme awareness, and word mapping.

The eye finger puppets will keep students engaged and motivate them to read and have fun with it. The timers are useful for my students with Autism who need visuals. I will use the plastic envelopes and velcro dots to make and store activities for the students.
