Hello! I teach in a K-2 school with approximately 1,000 students. Our school has a diverse population of students. My students are smart, enthusiastic, creative, hardworking, eager, and respectful. My classroom consists of students from all different backgrounds. I have high functioning students, low functioning students, and ELL students. My school offers reading and math interventions to aid struggling learners in their educational success.
I am dedicated to my students.
It is my goal to provide an inviting, nurturing, and warm classroom where each student feels comfortable.
Our school does not receive Title I funding. Thus, the technology and resources in my classroom are limited. Most of my resources are supplied by either myself or through parent donations. The environment provided by the administration, teachers, and staff is inviting and nurturing. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of each student that walks through the doors.
My Project
Hands-on learning is a form of education in which children learn by doing. Osmo brings learning to life by using hand held pieces with an iPad. The Osmo Genius Starter kit creates a hands-on learning experience five different ways. With this kit my students will have opportunities to guess and spell hidden words with physical tiles, arrange wooden puzzle pieces to build challenging shapes, explore and play with math in an open-ended environment, and create or draw anything.
Osmo is magic!
Osmo encourages problem solving, math number sense, reading, and creativity. With this Osmo Genius Starter Kit my students will experience real play while achieving real learning.
