Help me give my students more hands on experiences in our classroom. My students would benefit from the Super Science magazine, the place value charts as well as the individual magnetic letters. Thank you in advance!
Our LLD classroom has such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Our classroom has a variety of 5th - 6th graders for the four core subjects. Some of our students are learning to read, write, and count. On the other hand, some of our other students are learning to summarize a short novel they have just completed as well as adding and dividing fractions with unlike denominators. We definitely have a range of abilities. But, one thing is for sure...we are a family that takes care of and support one another!
If fully funded, this project will help my students learn across the curriculum. My students will struggle with reading numbers longer than 3 digits correctly. So, the place value charts will help them learn how to read number, but they will also help them improve their number sense.
The Super Science magazine will be another resource for my students to learn what it going on in the science world around them.
In addition to our hands-on science lessons in the classroom, the magazine will provide a new extension of their learning.
Some of my students learn best when they are using a hands-on learning approach. So, the magnetic alphabet will help my students while they work on their weekly spelling words.
