Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am very fortunate to have a loving group of kids. They work hard to encourage each other and to help one another out whenever possible, whether it is showing someone how to work out a problem, sharing supplies, or praising someone for trying.
My fourth graders are excited to wake up in the morning, come into the classroom, and learn.
They are curious about everything going on around them and work hard to do better than they did before. We strive to make a positive environment where they can learn together.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to become active and engaged learners while meeting the state standards for science. This project includes multiple stem sets that cover different scientific principles, such as levers, Newton's Laws, simple machines, Physics Laws, wheels and axles, inclined planes, gears, pulleys, fluid dynamics, and solar power.
Students will work together to create different structures that use a variety of science principles, allowing them to see the concepts first hand.
Each set can be used to create multiple models and to show complex topics first hand to students so that they are able to have a deeper understanding of the concept.
