My students are Juniors and Seniors that come from all over Dutchess County to learn the trade of Small Engine Repair. Students receive integrated Math and English while they attend our programs and have articulations agreements with SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Rockland for college credit after completing the 2 year program. Our students take a National Competency Exam and are provided work based learning with internships.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students learning by providing reinforcement with hands on learning skills. For our students with Special Needs it provides for differentiation learning. These models will help provide a safe way for them to learn the parts of engines and how they work. It will also reinforce what they are learning in class.
Due to an increase of COVID schools are going remote and our students are losing out in valuable hands on shop time.
These materials will be able to go home with students to help support the remote learning environment.
