My Project

The restrictions imposed on my students as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic have had a substantial impact on their learning. Like most students in the country, my students were forced to social distance; not allowing them the opportunity to work, play, and learn together as students in preschool through grade 2 normally would. As a result, once the restrictions were lifted, I incorporated hands-on learning activities into all of my classes to help my students develop these skills. I have used Legos®, Play Doh, wooden blocks, and any other materials I could find to create interactive activities based on my weekly read-aloud and lesson. Students have been actively engaged in each activity, embracing the opportunity to work together. The feedback from parents has been extremely positive as well.

The Plus Plus Blocks that I am requesting will provide students with endless opportunities for developing their critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills as well as nurture their creativity.

By donating to this project, you will be empowering my students to learn through play while developing their fine motor skills and using their imagination.
