My Students

After teaching third grade for 14 years, I am beyond excited to teach 25 eager first graders this school year! My students are a perfect combination of varying abilities, backgrounds, and needs that will come together for the same purpose... to learn and love school.

It is an awesome responsibility to provide my first graders what they need to be successful in the classroom.

Creating a classroom environment where students are comfortable is just the beginning of a successful school year!

My Project

My first grade students are an amazing group of diverse learners. The items that I am requesting all have a specific purpose that will enhance the learning of each and every student.

Hands-on learning allows students to master content in an engaging way.

Students are not only mastering skills, but they are also learning how to work together, be critical thinkers, and how to problem solve. These are concepts that will stay with them forever.

The addition and subtraction games will be used to not only reinforce facts, but allow students to use motor skills and critical thinking with each move. The Magna-Tiles are an amazing resource that I will add to our Science and STEM area. The other items all support existing curriculum and are appreciated as well.
