My Students
I teach full-day pre-k. We have a great opportunity to teach students from many diverse backgrounds, such as English Language Learners (ELLs), at-risk students and first-time learners. All of these scholars need rich language opportunities and exposure to the world around them. These experiences help develop a necessary foundation for future learning. My students are curious, creative and enthusiastic young learners that love diving into meaningful play experiences.
We provide an environment that allows them to thrive and grow in their own unique way.
Our goal is to develop a love of learning that will continue to grow.
My Project
My littlest scholars learn best through hands on experiences. Learning locks, lacing cards and play stix each offer inventive and engaging opportunities for students to build fine motor skills in the classroom. Fine motor development is a critical part of pre-kindergarten and providing a variety of learning opportunities is essential. I need resources on hand to match the needs of each individual scholar in a creative and meaningful way. When a child is able to develop fine motor skills, they are able to complete important tasks such as writing, feeding themselves, buttoning and zipping clothes, etc. My goal is to provide these fine motor materials to help students build strength in their hands while keeping them engaged and excited about learning.
