This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, manipulatives like Play-Doh and alphabet games serve as invaluable tools that bring learning to life and facilitate deeper understanding among my kinder littles.

The math counting boards will be of great support when teaching addition and subtraction within 10.

Concrete representation of abstract concepts is difficult to learn before experiencing first hand. Many academic concepts, especially in subjects like mathematics and science, can be abstract and challenging for students to grasp. Manipulatives provide a tangible representation of these concepts, making them more concrete and accessible. For example, when learning about fractions, students can use fraction circles or bars to visually see how parts make up a whole.

My students will have hands-on exploration that will active engagement for effective learning. Overall, the use of these manipulatives in our classroom will be instrumental in creating engaging, interactive, and effective learning experiences for our students.
