This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fourth grade students are curious, creative, and full of energy— but many of them face real challenges outside the classroom. Our school is a Title I school, and for many of my students, access to hands-on learning tools is limited. That’s why I’m requesting two incredible resources from Lakeshore Learning: the Foundational Math Skills Games Bundle - Grades 3–4 and the Meet the Standards Hands-On Science Kits - Grade 4 Complete Set.

These resources will support my students in two critical areas: foundational math skills and hands-on science exploration.

The games bundle will give my students fun and engaging ways to strengthen essential reading skills like prefixes, suffixes, context clues, and more—all while working together in small groups or literacy centers. It’s learning that feels like play!

Meanwhile, the science kits will bring our units to life with hands-on experiments aligned to grade-level standards. From exploring energy and waves to understanding life cycles and weather patterns, my students will get to be scientists — not just learn about them.

These tools will help bridge learning gaps, support my diverse learners, and build a classroom full of confident, capable problem-solvers. With your support, we can make learning come alive!
