My Students

The school where I will be teaching is a small Title I school in a very rural town in a very rural part of central Texas. I am teaching reading for 4th grade in a brand new school district. I'll be transitioning from teaching math to teaching English Language Arts.

I am starting from scratch with classroom supplies and needs.

All of my materials I have built the past few years building up have been for math! I am so excited to start this new adventure, but am really needing your help to make sure I have all the resources my kids will need in order to have the best year yet!

My Project

Interactive reading journals that are truly interactive are such a great resource. These notebooks personalize learning, teach students how to learn and study at the same time, make sense of lecture and note taking, and most importantly are a hands-on learning tool that students love!

The materials requested will be used to create truly unique interactive notebooks.

My students need Mead Composition Notebooks for their notebooks. The Co-Tact paper will be used to laminate the pages. This allows us to use the graphic organizers over and over again to help support and organize learning, without creating a lot of waste. I also need Expo dry erase markers for marking.

These notebooks are a learning tool that my students can use for the rest of their academic careers and work well in any kind of cross curricular writing.
