See what Ms. Caballero is requestingMy students need magna-tiles, giant roller ramps and wondermaze to develop higher level thinking and problem solving skills as they learn how to work with others.

My students participate in an accelerated STEM program and are eager to learn. They range in age from 4-6 years old. There is an equal amount of girls and boys. They are Hispanic, Chinese, African American and Caucasian. They all have a free lunch status and are from low income families. Their diversity and experiences adds to the uniqueness of the class.
Focusing on my students natural curiosity helps them to become creative thinkers who see themselves as scientist, mathematicians, and/or engineers.
My students grow and become problem solvers through the experiences and activities I provide which makes learning meaningful and fun.
My class begins each morning exploring a variety of engineering/science buckets. I observe and pose questions to the groups to help them think deeper about what they are discovering. Students are encouraged to work with a partner to solve problems without the teacher's input to develop cooperative team work.
These requested materials will help expand the student's' experiences, heighten their curiosity, and create new problem solving situations.
My students love the marble maze that we have but the addition of the roller coaster, wonder maze, and engineer-a-coaster will provide ways to understand force and motion on a much higher level, not to mention, the wealth of problem solving opportunities. The energy stick will be a great introduction to electrical circuits before they begin exploring the snap circuit system workstation.
