Help me give my students more hands on materials that are more beneficial than using an iPad all day: reading books, writing pens, math counters, crayons, dry erase markers, and access to technology resources!
I love my students because even in the most challenging of times, their second school year of remote learning, they continue to amaze me! They are passionate, excited, and creative. They belong to a Pre-K to 5 Title I School. They are especially excited when they have access to hands on materials! It is my obligation to keep my first graders inspired to become lifelong leaders, learners, activists, and caring individuals.
My Project
These materials will help keep my first graders engaged in reading, writing, and math while they are learning from home!
What I've found these past few months of remote learning is balance is best.
Technology resources such as Boom Cards and games purchased with a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will give them access to fun and engaging differentiated activities.
While virtual resources are great, these young learners also THRIVE when they have a pen and paper in their hand, crayons to express their creativity, and access to real paper books!!! I create monthly packages that are distributed at my school for parents and would love to give them more books, writing pens, math manipulatives, and more for their next round!
These materials keep my students excited and eager to learn!
