My Students

I am a teacher for children with disabilities. Most of my students have autism with speech and occupational delays. They are adorable, caring, and loving.

My students need things presented to them in fun ways to help them process, understand, and retain the information.

They come from a variety of backgrounds with different abilities and interests, but fundamentally are all the same. They are children who want to learn and play. So as their teacher it is my role to find the ways they will learn best.

My Project

My students love to learn by touching and feeling. It helps them focus when they are active in their learning. These magnetic tins are perfect for that. They can learn about counting, shapes, the alphabet, plants, animals and more! My students learn and retain the knowledge by repetition of tasks. What is wonderful about these kits are they are reusable. Once a skill is learned they can continue to use them to reinforce their knowledge. Each tin has several activities do they won’t get bored using them. They can change up which activity day to day. It will be easy for them to keep them neat and contained with an easy clean up for at home learning.
