Handheld Scavenger Hunts

Help me give my students sensory bottles where they can find various letters of the alphabet as well as seasonal items as part of a scavenger hunt.

My Students

My classroom consists of 40 students that are curious and energetic. They are full of questions and eager to learn. Every day, they enter the room ready to start the day and learn new ideas, facts and enjoy listening to good stories. The students in my room qualified for my program through a screening that assesses their motor, language, and cognitive abilities.

My students have such an excitement for learning and are curious about the world around them.

I would like to give them as many hands-on experiences as possible as well as expose them to favorite characters and places through familiar stories. Through these experiences, they can learn and explore at their own level.

My Project

My students love to explore and learn. One thing they really enjoy is a scavenger hunt where they have to search for items. Sensory bottles are an easy way to have scavenger hunts in the classroom for every holiday or season. These bottles are easy for the students to handle and will heighten their sense of awareness. The bottles will also allow them to explore without leaving the classroom.

The students can use the scavenger hunt sensory bottles to hunt for various seasonal items such as leaves, Christmas items or hearts.

The students can also go on a letter hunt for upper or lowercase letters.
