My Students

Our students come from many diverse backgrounds. 100% of our students receive a free lunch. We attend an inner city school, where more than half of the students commute for the education we provide. We have healthy foods and a garden, and we speak seven different languages at home.

Our school is a bright, happy place where a university education is our goal!

Students learn in classrooms where experience solidifies the curriculum! Our walls are covered in student innovation and creativity! Students are always encouraged to voice their opinion!

My Project

The architects of our well made 1948 school building were forward thinking. They took advantage of the lovely 180 degree western facing view. They made cupboards out of wood that still open and close 70 years later. The floors still shine when polished....

The heat on a hot day is magnified by out 20 foot windows.

My 5th graders are melting on hot days. We drink water, I even empty my ice maker from home daily when the temperature rises.

Next year I hope to get there early, open the windows and fan the cool air in! I hope to keep those 5th graders energized to learn as much as they can, before they are off to middle school!
