This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This classroom pet enclosure, a hollow log, and other supplies will help my students learn about responsibilities along with so much more. My students will learn about trust, compassion, respect, connection, empathy, and patience. They will learn to take care of something other than themselves, such as how to feed Yoshi the bearded dragon. They will work together to clean the dragons home, and take turns being a the pet helper. They will be bonding with each other and our pet while doing everything mentioned above; along with learning how to respect all living things. My students are an amazing group of first graders who deserve a great habitat for their class pet.
