Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Researchers found that autistic children were significantly more talkative and cheerful in the presence of guinea pigs than in the presence of toys. Children were more likely to look at faces, make physical contact, and interact with other children and adults. Additionally, animals have a calming effect. For children with autism, the classroom can be a stressful environment, and an animal may relax them enough to make them feel comfortable interacting with peers.

Help support my class with providing the necessities that are needed to care for a guinea pig.

The guinea pig will help increase social interactions and it can be used to teach the students responsibility.
