Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is full of eager and enthusiastic kindergarteners who are learning how to read. They love to listen to stories, do math, sing songs, learn letters, learn words and play. This is their first time in school and they are trying to be successful despite of the global pandemic.
My Project
This project will provide materials that will help the students learn in small groups. The guided reading books will provide the kids with ample opportunity for small group and interactive learning. The books will be a little above their reading level to help them improve their reading. During guided reading, the students will work on fluency, reading comprehension, sight words, and vocabulary.
Guided reading is important in order for young readers to build reading confidence.
My students deserve ample opportunities to practice with leveled books in order to be able to achieve their goals.
