Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first grade teacher in an inner-city school. All of my students receive free breakfast and dinner. I provide my students with all the necessary writing implements for homework and class: notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, etc. It is difficult to continue supporting my class when there is no financial support from the school district.
I receive no financial support from my district to implement guided reading. I would like some resources to use during guided reading that will keep my students engaged and make my lessons magical. The materials I am requesting will be able to extend my guided reading lessons.
I am requesting sentence strips, sentence strip container, dry erase markers, pocket charts, pocket chart holders, story wands, and pointers. These resources will make my guided reading lessons magical. My students will be engaged while using these resources; it will give them freedom and empowerment to use what they learned from my guided reading lessons to use on their own.
With your help, you can make my guided reading lessons magical. The materials will be used by the students to empower their learning. Your donation will help make my guided reading lessons come alive. These materials will enrich my students' learning and increase their reading development.
