This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach in a low income area where a lot of my students do not have the proper technology and equipment at home to help them be successful in school. We all know times are changing and technology is huge in education. Most careers involve some type of technology and a lot of humans are losing their jobs to technology. I feel it's important that my students understand technology and the role it plays in our future.

My students strive to learn and are always curious about what we are going to be doing next.

They love hands-on activities and are able to problem solve best when they have the physical object in their hands.

My Project

With this project, I am want to organize my classroom library and give it a new look. As of right now, my book bins are too small and seem cluttered. I want the students to know exactly where to go to find a book on their guided reading level. I am also wanting to have bins ready to go for my mini-lessons with different genres of books. I want the students to be able to go to a labeled bin and explore the books that we just discussed. I am needing these bins to have a flexible amount to choose from. I am asking for the pocket charts to create a word wall for my phonics lessons. I have two new programs I am using and want to have lots of room to add our new words.
