Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a vibrant group of kindergarteners with a veracious love for learning that is inspiring and contagious.

The majority of my students come from low-income homes, and receive free or reduced lunch.

This does not seem to affect their yearning for learning. They come to school every day with a "go-get-em" attitude. They love to read books, especially to one another and to me! Each of my students really seem to cherish the time they get together for Guided Group Reading and Independent Reading Conference with me.

My Project

My students will use the cart I am requesting to house their Guided Reading books. They will be able to locate and access the books on their independent and guided reading levels. Since the cart is on wheels, it will have the ability to be moved about the room as needed to accommodate all the learners in my room.

With the cart, I'm requesting, I will be able to set up designated books and materials for Guided Reading Group.

The cart is on wheels so that I can utilize any space in the room. This will benefit my students by providing flexibility in how our spaced is used, and to make sure we are using it in the most effective way possible.
