This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom recently experienced an unexpected change; we moved into a new space and, unfortunately, had to leave behind something very special: our garden. That garden was more than just a collection of plants. It was a living classroom where students explored science, practiced responsibility, and experienced the joy of nurturing something from seed to growth.

With your support, we can rebuild our classroom garden and bring back a powerful, hands-on learning experience for my students.

A garden transforms everyday lessons into meaningful, real-world learning. Students will observe plant life cycles, explore ecosystems, and develop healthy habits as they learn where food comes from. Just as importantly, they will build patience, teamwork, and confidence as they care for something together. Funding will go to new garden beds, materials and tools for our garden, and a TPT gift card will allow me to get teaching resources, lessons, and activities that align with what we are growing in our garden

Many of my students thrive with interactive, sensory experiences, and a garden provides exactly that. It gives them the opportunity to dig, plant, water, and watch their hard work come to life. For some, this will be their very first experience growing food or connecting with nature in a meaningful way.

By supporting this project, you are not just funding supplies; you are helping create a space where curiosity grows, confidence blossoms, and students feel connected to their learning in a lasting way. Your generosity will allow us to rebuild a garden that inspires, educates, and nurtures every child in our classroom.
